Approach
Philosophy
For Alnoor there is no distinction between the personal, the spiritual, and the entrepreneurial. His own success is rooted in his constant effort to seek growth and renewal for himself and for his businesses. The following five elements of his philosophy are straightforward and commonsense; what sets Alnoor apart is his ability to live these philosophies and demand of others that they live their values too.
1. Self Reflection
What is the state of your emotional, physical, spiritual, and financial health? Honest reflection and assessment of each facet of your self is the first step to all transformations, in life and in business. Once you have determined who you are, inside and out, you're ready for the next step: Change yourself!
2. Become Your Goals
Stop waiting until the time is right! Define your goals and say them out loud, today, to yourself and to the world. To become your goals is to graft them onto your identity: you are the person who will achieve these things. Don't hide from them. When the whole world knows what you want, you have far fewer reasons to fail.
3. Live Your Values
We all make bargains with ourselves to defer our better instincts in exchange for short term gains. But the longer we defer, the further out of reach our values seem. Stop it! Live your values every day, in spite of the short term consequences. Each day lived well is one step closer to your goals.
4. People Matter
Surround yourself with the right people. Every business book will tell you as much, but every business person knows of colleagues who paid peanuts and got monkeys. Get great people and reward them for their greatness. It's as simple as that.
5. Find the Right Tools
Respect the tools of the trade—Blackberries and Powerpoint presentations and pick-up trucks—but also the tools of the mind: education and experience. Arm your people with the tools they need to succeed and also with opportunities to fail. As Alnoor will be the first to tell you, adversity is a good schoolmaster.
The TorMentor
Alnoor is going to get in your face. As your mentor, he is available 24 hours a day to advise anyone on your executive team. As your TorMentor, he will make every second with you count. He’ll push, assist, tease and encourage you to better yourself and your business. That means dealing with your fears, stuck points and limiting beliefs as only Alnoor can.
The Alnoor Difference
What's the difference between an ordinary advisor and the TorMentor? You'll see it in your first meeting. Any good mentor will eventually get to the heart of your challenges; Alnoor will get there in about 15 seconds. Though friendly, light-hearted, and thoroughly approachable, his penetrating style leaves you nowhere to hide—Alnoor will force you to be honest with yourself and with your team and help you take the difficult steps required to change your self and your business.
The difference comes from a lifetime of triumph over adversity in a startling array of business environments. From building a matchbook enterprise, to revolutionizing the Kenyan banking industry, to raising $40 million in venture capital for Vancouver technology entrepreneurs, Alnoor succeeds because he has the will and total dedication to find a way through any challenge.
Alnoor's approach is holistic: he recognizes the intimate relationship between personal development and business achievement. As he has demonstrated time and again in his own life, market growth starts with personal growth. Because these elements are inseparable, Alnoor tackles them together: your life goals and your business objectives—all at once. At the same time, Alnoor is completely available to you—intellectually, emotionally, and as a business associate with a considerable network of colleagues.
Consulting with Alnoor
Alnoor consults for businesses from a variety of industries with revenues ranging from $3 million to $50 million annually. For a contingency fee, he offers growth and planning sessions in four private retreats each year. In addition, Alnoor pledges total availability 365 days a year: clients can and do call Alnoor at all times of the day and night.
Initial Meeting
It starts with a chemistry check. This free initial meeting will reveal whether your organization and Alnoor are a good fit. Alnoor will meet with you in private or with your team for an in-depth analysis of your strengths, weaknesses, and willingness for growth and change.
Compensation
If all goes well at the initial meeting, you and Alnoor will settle on a performance-based contingency fee. Under this model, Alnoor will receive a percentage of the growth of your business: if your business grows, he collects. If your business fails to grow, despite Alnoor's best efforts, you pay nothing.
Annual Two-Day Retreat
Armed with your corporate profile and removed from the office environment, Alnoor and your leadership team will analyze the good, the bad, and the ugly of your company’s businesses processes. In a safe and open environment you will identify the roadblocks to your organization’s success and develop a strategic plan to overcome them. You will come away from the retreat with a 10 – 30 year goal along with priorities for the next 3 years, the next 12 months, and the next quarter.
Under Alnoor's guidance the retreat will be facilitated by The Gazelles, a respected business coaching firm renowned for their corporate workshops. A $10,000 fee is required to cover their costs.
Quarterly Reviews
For an additional three retreats each year, Alnoor will again take your executive team out of the office for a single day to conduct a frank discussion of goals, achievements and obstacles. With an updated strategic plan, your team will return to work with a renewed sense of purpose and drive.
Again, the Gazelles will facilitate the sessions for a fee of $5,000/session.
